It looks sleek and the wheels fit nicely.

It looks like a CRV

Italicized CRV

Yeah, but the sport looks better:

The CRV looks a lot less refined.

Perfect

I think it looks better in 5-seat form.

I think that's an Edge, brah

Is the european model a bit different?

Ain't that a Pacifica?

Sleek? Sleek? It's like a black fridge with far too much gaudy chrome.

The car wraps around the wheels and it looks modern, I think it looks sleek, especially when compared to the hunchback and the blob.

True.

The pic above is the sport model. In america, the sport is 5 passengers and 4 cylinder only. the regular santa fe is v6 only and 7 passengers.

Every Hyundai looks like an italicized Honda.

The grille and front fascia look a bit different, is it a Sport and 7 seater thing?

Ugh. But I especially dislike the Rav4. I've seen a few in traffic, they're like a second gen Toyota Auris that went on a crash McDonalds diet, consisting of 6 xl meals a day for many years on end.
I guess I'm just not much of a fan of these bloated hatchbacks. Compared to all of these the Hyundai does look relatively sleek, I'll give you that much.

That front end is limited to the sport model.

Oh no, the RAV4 is hideous, especially with that weird plastic bit the splits the grille in half. The only Toyota I like at the moment is the Fortuner sold here and the Land Cruiser.

So I see, thanks!

The Name makes me LOL. I have yet to see one Santa Fe in Santa Fe. I have always wondered if they had a cheesy "Southwest style" Launch party/press event when it was 1st launched.

That is a weird name for a korean SUV, but let's us not forget.

A car called Laputa would not work in Mexico. ("La Puta" = The Whore)

Exactly.

Having driven the Euro model 5- and 7-seaters quite a bit now, I can vouch that it's a decent vehicle. Not extraordinary in any way, but it's a family SUV after all.

Hyundai's recent designs are maturing nicely. The last Sonata was awkward, the one before was boring, and before that, everything was kind of bulbous and weird. But the latest models seem to have settled down into an understated and businesslike design language.

how old are you? cuz it might be an age thing. out of all 7 passenger cuv's this is a good looking car.
they ALL have similar shapes. comparing it to them is like comparing different types of apples.
saddle seats ftw

25, It is of the nicest looking affordable 7 seaters.

And that is a good thing, the new Genesis looks great.

for the price you can get an e70 x5 7 seater too :)

I rode in one a while back. I was really impressed with the interior - well-designed, varied materials, good plastics, a lot of intricate, pleasant details. How long will it last? Time will tell I suppose, but my lingering preconception is that a Hyundai interior will wear out a lot quicker than the equivalent Toyonda.

I know, I would never buy a new car when there are better used ones. But thinking about new ones that doesn't look bad. I would personally get a GL.

Or does every Honda look like an non-italicized Hyundai?
